Hair can help in the Identification of followings:

1-Sex Identification: 

   Sex can be determined by the appearance of chest hair, bear hair & moustache.

2-Age Estimation: 

  Age can be estimated by length,colour & location of hairs like full-term infant baby has 3 cm long hair on scalp, pubic & axillary hairs comes after puberty and so on.

3-Race Recognition: 

  By hair texture,colour & distribution & arrangement we can also recognise a person race.

4-Genetic Traits: 

  By hair we can also examine the genetic markers .

In spite of all these diagnosis Hair also help in examination process in case of rape,burn & poisoning cases.
